Samuel Ioron Foundation – SIF is a non profit based in Nigeria, increasing educational access for girls living in rural communities, promoting inclusive and qualitative education, their wellbeing and equal access to opportunities

Responsibilities:

Strategic Communication Planning:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive communication plans aligned with organizational goals. 
  • Collaborate with leadership to identify key messaging and communication priorities. 

Content Creation:

  • Produce engaging and impactful content for various channels, including press releases, social media, newsletters, and the organization’s website.
  • Ensure all communications align with the organization’s brand and messaging guidelines. 

Media Relations:

  • Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with media outlets. 
  • Act as the primary point of contact for media inquiries and interview requests. 

Digital and Social Media Management:

  •  Oversee the organization’s digital presence, including website content management and social media platforms.
  •  Implement strategies to increase online engagement and brand visibility. 

Public Relations:

  • Plan and execute public relations initiatives to enhance the organization’s public image. 
  • Identify opportunities for partnerships and collaborations to amplify the organization’s reach. 

Internal Communication:

  • Facilitate effective internal communication to ensure staff members are informed and aligned with organizational initiatives. 
  • Develop and maintain internal communication channels. 

Event Communication:*

  • Support communication efforts for organizational events, ensuring consistency and effectiveness.
  •  Collaborate with event planners to create promotional materials and communication strategies. 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, or a related field,
  • Proven experience in communications, preferably Within the nonprofit sector.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills,
  • Strong understanding of digital and social media platforms.
  • Ã…bility to develop and implement comprehensive communication strategies.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively,
  • Familiarity with content management systems and graphic design tools.
