All for Peace and Dignity (APADE) is an international not-for-profit, non-governmental organization, registered under Canadian law in 2014 and the Nigerian government in 2021. Our mission is to work with vulnerable people to improve their well-being and create a positive change, focusing on emergency relief, recovery, resilience, and sustainable development for people in need, regardless of their religious, political, or ethnic affiliation. Our activities contribute to building peaceful and dignified lives for all people, while also improving livelihoods for marginalized communities, particularly women, men, and individuals living with disabilities.
APADE’s partnership with the World Food Programme (WFP) and the Mastercard Foundation seeks to strengthen local food systems and create job opportunities for youth through an inclusive agribusiness value chain in Northeast Nigeria (Adamawa State). This project aims to contribute to WFP’s mission of zero hunger, economic empowerment, and financial inclusion for young men and women.
Position Overview
APADE is seeking a dedicated and competent Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Officer to join our team in Adamawa State. The successful candidate will design a comprehensive M&E framework, aligned with both WFP’s requirements and the organization’s objectives, to measure the effectiveness of our projects aimed at empowering youth through agribusiness.

Project Duration: 12 months (with the possibility of contract extension)
Reports to: Project Manager
Starting Date: 1st February 2025
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement a comprehensive M&E framework aligned with organizational objectives.
- Define key performance indicators (KPIs) for Youth in Work outcomes.
- Coordinate and oversee the implementation of M&E activities across all project phases.
- Develop and deploy data collection tools (e.g., surveys, focus groups).
- Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and analysis using statistical software (SPSS, R, etc.).
- Identify trends, successes, and areas for improvement related to youth employment in the agricultural value chain.
- Produce clear, actionable M&E reports for stakeholders, including donors, project teams, and community partners.
- Facilitate regular reviews of M&E processes, proposing adjustments based on findings.
- Provide training and guidance on M&E best practices to staff and project partners.
- Engage with stakeholders to share findings, fostering collaboration and data-driven decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with organizational standards and conduct audits of M&E processes.
- Address challenges in M&E implementation and develop solutions to ensure the effectiveness of the system.
Educational Requirements
- Master’s degree in Statistics, Business Administration, Economics, Public Policy, or related fields.
Professional Experience
- Minimum 6 years of professional experience in M&E or research roles with a strong understanding of M&E principles and practices, particularly in INGOs.
- At least 4 years of experience designing and implementing M&E frameworks, data collection, analysis, and producing reports that inform program strategies.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in statistical software (e.g., SPSS, R) and familiarity with data visualization tools.
- Strong knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research methods, including survey design and sampling techniques.
- Exceptional analytical skills, with the ability to synthesize data into actionable insights and recommendations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting findings to various stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and accuracy in data management and reporting.
- Experience training and mentoring staff on M&E best practices.
- Ability to address challenges proactively and adapt to changing circumstances.
Competencies
- Prior experience working under WFP-funded projects is an asset.
- Commitment to accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Strong team-oriented attitude with the ability to manage an individual workload.
- Logical and flexible problem-solving skills, especially in pressure situations.
- Fluency in English (both spoken and written) and knowledge of Hausa is highly desirable.
