Solicitation for the services of a Construction Company Scope Statement for RECOR Factory Building Maintenance.
Factory Location: Plot 27/33, Police Officers Quarters Road, behind old NTA transmission station, Off Yola Numan Road, Sangere Bode, Yola, Adamawa State, Nigeria.
A. Rolling Entrance Gate
- Rehabilitate and fortify the existing entrance gate.
- Fabricate and install a new gate at the extreme left end of the front fence. Both gates will be of similar design, with a minimum of 3mm thick metal plate mounted on rails with an adequate stopper and anchor to prevent them from falling. They will also be of the same design and painted the same colour.
- Concrete resurfacing of the main drive through into the factory.
B. Gate House
Build a septic tank and soak-away pit (measuring 2.2 m x 2.4 m x 2.1 m) dug and connected to the Gate House, complete with waste piping and inspection chamber and slab.
C. Solar Security Lights
1. 4 Nos of 400 watts solar lights to be mounted on the external walls at lintel height complete with anchors, base plates and every necessary fittings.
C. Laterite & Sand Filling Around the Hub – Clearing and leveling of the spaces around the hub to receive sharp sand to deal with the swampy condition of the hub land.
- Backside: Borehole area to be filled with laterite compacted in layers and finished with sharp/river sand, leveled and compacted to allow driving over.
- Left side same treatment
- Right side same treatment considering all levels.
- Construct an inspection chamber with a slab cover around the borehole where the submersible pump is installed to protect the installation.
D. Front Side Fencing Wall
- External rendering and dressing of the front fencing wall only that carries the 2Nos of gates and render all columns and capitols and coping of the same approach fence wall. (does not include painting of rendered wall, columns, coping).
- Take off respray and reinstall the round pipes used as fence grills along the front fence.
- Replace portions of the fence with defective constantina fence wire to deter intrusion through the fence.
E. Right Side Fence Wall
- Install 3 concrete columns to be established at the middle section where the foundation has failed, and the walls are cracking due to settlement
- New concrete blinding to be done, a ground beam and block work laid to rehabilitate the failed foundation.
- Treat different segments of the fence wall with noticeable cracks using wire mesh, and high quality mortar as binder.
F. Waste Water Reservoir
1. Introduce 6 concrete columns around the reservoir, connected with a ring beam with high-grade concrete, make good all cracked blockwork and treat cracked blockwork with high-grade concrete. Ensure excellent reticulation of waste water, sieving of micro-plastics and flow from chamber to chamber.
G. GENERATOR PLATFORM/BASE
1. To meet regulatory requirements, and to avoid oil spilling and leaching into the ground, the base of the generator will be expanded to centralize the generator, and a buffer wall of 6 inches (1 course) will be laid and plastered to collect any spills from the generator.
H. Roof and Ceiling works
Inspect and provide for fixing any observed issues with the factory roof and ceiling to prevent leaks and negative impact of winds on the structure.
I. Allow for preliminary works, clean clearing, equipment and tools.
Requirements for Consideration
- Interested vendors are expected to visit the site for physical inspection and measurements.
- Companies must be registered with CAC, have a tax identification number (TIN) for remittance of WHT.
- Demonstrate that they have verifiable experience in carrying out similar works.
- Have the capacity to complete the work before being paid within 2 weeks of receipt of certificate of satisfactory completion and handover of the works.
- A competent and experienced engineer must be available to supervise the work on the site from commencement to completion.
- Prepare a bill of quantities and a work plan to show the duration of work and the specific methodology to be used to complete a high quality work. Include all material and labour costs, with safe disposal of construction waste.
