The PPM as a core intervention strategy in this project that will be implemented in the targeted states. This intervention focuses on engaging the formal and informal private Health sector to contribute to finding and treating missing persons with TB. To ensure a coordinated effort between the formal and informal private Sector, the hub and spokes cluster model will be adopted. The private Health facilities fill be the Hubs while the community PPM providers (PMVs, Cps) will be the spokes. Each PPM coordinator Is expected to coordinate at least five clusters and ensure full functionality and reporting.

Main responsibilities

These responsibilities shall be adapted to the particularities of the job location and context, phase of operation, strategic focus and type of program intervention. This section shall be revised whenever a new employee is hired or the context changes significantly. 

  • Coordinator all PPM activities to ensure finding of TB cases and linkage to treatment in the LGA
  • Ensure active screening for TB by the PMVs and the other spokes
  • Facilitate –two-way referral from the Spokes (PMVs/CPs) to the Hubs (Private facilities) of identified presumptive TB.
  • Maintain close communication and coordination between TB-DOTS referrals for other health needs and documentation.
  • Ensure proper documentation of all TB services in appropriate registers both at the hub and spokes
  • Ensure electronic entry of data into the project app
  • Initiate and coordinate regular (monthly) meetings with linkage of existing and prospective NGOs, CBOs, FBOs to encourage feedback on services and referral issues.
  • Ensure timely TB client documentation and program level reporting to the State programs (LGA TBLS) and the KNCV M/E and Senior Program officer.
  • Support the private entities in TB case finding efforts in the LGA
  • Report monthly using appropriate template
  • Participate in periodic review with LNCV Program staff.
  • Support sample transport based on approved rate from the hub to diagnostic labs and follow up with result retrieval (this will be paid based on trips)

Your profile (Eligibility Requirement)

  • A Minimum of Bachelor Degree or its equivalent.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of work experience
  • Candidates must be a Computer literate
  • Medical qualification is an added advantage
  • Possess a Positive attitude (demonstrate integrity, confidentiality, approachability and diplomacy).
  • Ability to withstand work-related pressure, accurately follow instructions
  • Ability to express oneself through good communication skills: verbal and written.
  • Fluency in English Language is a must
  • Fluence in local dialects is an added advantage
