The State Technical Advisor will be responsible for effective coordination of all activities relating to and essential for the implementation of the EPharma4FP project as it relates to promotion of quality service delivery in the provision of family planning services among Community Pharmacists enrolled on the project via the HealthPlus network in Lagos state.

Specifically, this position will mentor and supervise the family planning services rendered by community pharmacists trained on the HealthPlus network ensuring they meet the national service protocol, and they uphold all national quality procedures. It might entail, On-the-job training and supervision.

Job-role: 

The successful candidate will perform the following functions:

  • Support CPs trained on the project to ensure the provision of high-quality Family planning services in line with National service guideline and protocols.
  • Coordinate the training of CPs ensure all the training tools and consumables are available including preparation of PHCs for practicals.
  • Coordinate and support CPs to achieve competency in delivering LARC in line with our agreement with the Lagos State Ministries of Health
  • Maintain a list of all CPs on the project (HealthPlus network) and progress made towards competency certification
  • Provide regular on-the-job mentoring of CPs using the project quality supervisory checklist.

Qualifications/Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years relevant experience preferably in Nursing with cognate experience in FP Service provision.

Skills and competencies: 

  • Ability to conduct FP training preferably an FP Master Trainer.
  • Ability to analyze complex situations and make inferences and ability to work in teams.
