A duly registered and reputable Non-Governmental Organisation engaged in fundraising activities for a tertiary educational institution in the South West of Nigeria, re-positioned for better performance, is recruiting suitable candidates to fill the position below:

Job Title: Executive Director

Location: Nigeria

Job Brief

  • The successful candidate shall be the Chief Executive Officer, responsible for the day-to-day administration of the Establishment and report to the Foundation’s Executive Committee.

Job Responsibilities

  • A candidate for the position of Executive Director must possess the ability of driving the Foundation to maintain highly qualified members to fulfil its vision, mission, goals and objectives.
  • He/she should attain through developing fundraising ideas, programmes and strategies, recruiting project sponsors and donors as well as attracting support through promotional activities.
  • He/She shall maintain records of sponsors, presenting fundraising proposals to the sourced sponsors and donors, and organising campaigns and events to attract donations.
  • The candidate must also possess the innate ability of leveraging on the connection of internal and external personalities and utilising such in sourcing financial and material donations, while also articulating the role of the Foundation to prospect and secure higher levels of support.
  • He shall be managing the development and implementation of communications and other strategies for the Foundation programmes through developing and managing the budget of the Foundation and reporting variances monthly to the appropriate quarters.

Eligibilities

  • The candidate shall possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication or Marketing related disciplines preferably backed up with a relevant professional qualification and Higher Degree.
  • The candidate should be able to demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • The candidate shall possess strong leadership qualities and persuasive personality.
  • He/She must be computer literate and be proficient in the use of computer applications i.e. MS-Word, Excel etc.
  • He/She must have expertise in Corporate and Foundation Fundraising preferably at a complex University or research institution.
  • He/She must have over 15 years relevant and cognate experience on similar job.
  • The Candidate must command respect of and maintain cordial interpersonal relationships with members of the Foundation as well as the University Community.
  • The Candidate must possess the ability to manage all communication strategies for the Foundation programmes and activities.
  • The Candidate shall possess the ability to generate initiatives capable of increasing the web presence and online visibility of the Foundation

Condition of Service
Remuneration and other conditions of service are negotiable
