Responsibilities
- Conduct psychoeducation sessions to raise awareness among MSF staff about mental health and well-being at work
- Provide individual psychological support to staff members according to MSF protocols to improve their mental health status
- Provide group psychosocial support to staff members according to MSF protocols to improve their mental health status
- Provide training to staff on various mental health topics that contribute to a better understanding of staff needs for psychosocial support and coping mechanisms
- Map external mental health resources for reference
- Refer staff members to other professionals if necessary: staff health manager, general practitioner, psychotherapist, psychiatrist, etc.
- Ensure the confidentiality of all personnel data
- Collect and track data on individual and group activities and ensure reporting to the PRM/medical coordinator/staff health manager
- Collaborate with other staff health profiles as needed + inform about individual cases requiring specialized care
- As appropriate, share overall staff issues requiring attention with the coordination team
- Actively participate in training, supervision/interactions with other colleagues in charge of staff support. Discuss with the supervisor any difficulties and problems that arise during support sessions
- Organize prevention activities in place of the mental health and well-being of MSF staff working in Katsina and Jahun projects
- Identify workplace stressors and their management
- Offer psychological trough individual and/or group support to MSF staff
- Organise training on specific topics related to psychosocial risks
- Participate in clinical supervision on a weekly basis with the support of the regional psychologist
- In collaboration with the PSU Dakar, define the referencing criteria
- Strengthening the capacity of caregivers on the PFA
- In collaboration with PSU Dakar, participate in the management of critical incidents on the mission
- Maintaining professional secret and confidentiality
- Do monthly sitreps
- Participate in data analysis and weekly, monthly and annual narrative reports.
