Purpose / Project Description
- The cleaners will work within the operations unit to support in making sure that the facility is clean, neat and habitable to all staff on daily basis
The Individual/Firm Will Report to and Work Closely:
- Cleaner will work closely with Operations Assistant and Senior Admin and Logistics Officer
Individual / Firm Activities / Deliverables:
- Maintain the cleanness of the office, kitchen facilities and bathrooms; dusting, vacuuming, washing etc.
- Do the laundry of office/guesthouses (curtains, sheets and kitchen towels included)?
- Identify needed repairs in the house and premises – alert senior operations officer for action
- Keep the compound clean
- Water the flowers and green areas according
- Trimming of the flowers and garden
- Be available to help the Operations to organize and plan for meetings and gatherings.
- Conduct himself/herself both professionally and personally in such a manner as to bring credit to Mercy Corps and to not jeopardize its humanitarian mission.
- Other duties as assigned.
Payment Terms
- Payment will be made on job completion and upon cleaners submission invoice detailing bank information.
- Mercy Corps will be payment within 10 days upon receipt of invoice through bank transfer. Mercy Corps will deduct 5% WHT in line with government regulations.
Individual Profile
- Responsible, trustworthy, punctual, and clean.
- A working knowledge of English is desired.
- Must have initiative and work largely unsupervised
- He or She Must be Resident Within Yola or Jimeta
- At least must have completed secondary school and should be at least 18 year and above
- Must be punctual to work
- Should carry out task with diligence and pay attention details.
