Advocacy for Resilience and Innovative Solutions for Youths, Women, and Children Empowerment (ARISE) is a women-led humanitarian and development organization dedicated to turning the challenges of conflict, displacement, natural disasters, and economic hardship into opportunities for resilience, empowerment, and sustainable development.
ARISE works hand-in-hand with communities and partners to design and implement initiatives in education, food security and livelihoods, protection, climate action, good governance, and child nutrition. Position Overview
- We are seeking a creative, passionate, and strategic Media and Communications professional to serve in a voluntary capacity as ARISE’s Media and Communications Lead.
- This opportunity is ideal for a visionary storyteller who believes in the power of media to drive social change, build institutional identity, and strengthen advocacy for women, youths, and children.
- The selected volunteer will help shape ARISE’s communication strategy, visibility, and digital presence while mentoring young communicators within the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement ARISE’s communication and visibility strategy.
- Create engaging content for social media, newsletters, and public awareness campaigns.
- Document and showcase stories of impact from ARISE’s projects and community activities.
- Strengthen ARISE’s media presence and relationships with journalists and platforms.
- Support proposal writing, report editing, and communication materials for donors and partners.
- Train and mentor staff or volunteers on basic communication, branding, and storytelling.
Who We’re Looking For
- A communication, media, or development professional with 5–10years of relevant experience in NGO communication or media production.
- Strong skills in storytelling, writing, social media management, and basic graphic or video content creation.
- A visionary communicator who understands development, humanitarian, or advocacy contexts.
- Passionate about mentorship, visibility building, and social impact storytelling.
- Willing to serve voluntarily and help build a sustainable communications structure for ARISE.
