Concern for Women and Children Development Foundation (COWACDI) is a woman- led organization born out of passion for the well-being of Women and Children in Nigeria. It is a dynamic and impactful NGO committed to providing humanitarian aid and support to vulnerable communities around the world. With a focus on empowering individuals and fostering sustainable development, we strive to make a positive and lasting impact on the lives of those in need. COWACDI has zero tolerance to fraud and other related practices. It has a special interest in mitigating the suffering of the vulnerable persons (mostly Women & Children) in times of crisis. Currently the organization has focused its attention on the Northeast of Nigeria with special emphasis in Borno, Yobe and Adamawa states (the BAY states) due to the 14 years old crises. COWACDI intervenes through community-based approach in addressing Gender-Based Violence prevention and response programmes, child protection, peace-building programmes and empowerment of youth and women. Since its establishment in 2005 has been implementing humanitarian and developmental interventions in Protection, Peace Building, Housing Land & Property (HLP), Non-food Items (NFI), Livelihood.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Contract Duration: 12 Months

About the Role:

Supports the implementation and strengthening of mechanisms for collecting and responding to community feedback and complaints.

Responsibilities:

• Assisting with community engagement and stakeholder relations. 
• Data collection and management related to feedback and complaints. 
• Understanding and communicating humanitarian accountability standards. 
• Working with community leaders and beneficiaries.

Additional Tasks

• Frequent travel within the community or assigned area

Qualifications:

• BSc or HND in fields such as Political Science, Social Science, or International Studies, Humanitarian Affairs, Public Administration, or Economics, or related disciplines and Additional certifications in M&E (like PMP, Logical Frameworks, or specific M&E courses) can boost skills and marketability.

• Strong analytical and data management skills.
• Excellent report writing and communication abilities.
• Understanding of project management and implementation.
• Knowledge of statistical and qualitative analysis methods.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to speak and understand the local language(s) is essential.
• Good organizational and record-keeping skills.
• Basic understanding of child protection, gender, and social inclusion principles (an added advantage).
• Ability to work effectively with people from different cultural backgrounds
• Must be below 30 years
• Must have completed NYSC

Desirable Skills/Quality:

• Proficiency in M&E tools, software (e.g., Excel, SPSS, Tableau).
