Restoration of Hope Initiative (ROHI) is a national Non-Governmental Organization based in Yola with a field office in Mubi, Adamawa State and Maiduguri Borno State. 

ROHI in partnership with PLAN International is implementing an 18-month protection intervention, focusing on SRHR and GBV prevention and response, including Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) to improve access to quality lifesaving SRHR and well-coordinated protection of adolescents and women at risk of GBV, through comprehensive case management, context specific information sharing with the support of the School Based Management Committee (SBMC) and enhanced Psychosocial Support (PSS) mechanisms in Adamawa State (Yola North, Yola South, Girei and Lamourde LGAs). 

ROHI is currently seeking qualified candidates for the positions of:

CASE MANAGER

Location: Yola

The Case Manager will:

  • Provide direct, one-on-one, and ongoing case management services, including safety planning.
  • Provide direct, one-on-one emotional support to survivors throughout case management process including final case evaluation and closure. 
  • Provide referrals for survivors to other services including child protection and specialized mental health services, accompany of survivors where appropriate and conduct follow- up to ensure appropriate services have been provided to the survivor.
  • Liaise with community volunteers for purposes of survivor follow-up as part of case management to individual survivors.
  • Ensures that Survivor Centered Approach Guiding principles maintained and enforced in while working with survivors including in safe spaces for women and girls.
  • Facilitate the setting up of information desk at the women and girls center where adolescent and women of reproductive age can access Sexual Reproductive Health information.
  • Contribute within the women and girls center to the identification of at-risk girls, boys and women and ensure proper documentation. 
  • Support GBV at risk individuals or survivors by referring them when necessary and in respect of their consent to other service providers (Health, legal counselling, shelter, livelihoods, or mental health etc.)
  • Provide direct support and care for vulnerable women and girls (including survivors of gender-based violence) including basic information counselling.

Case management: Assessment of survivor needs, developing an action plan, implementing the plan, follow up and case closure processes in line with the GBV case management standard operating procedure and IASC guidelines on case management (SOP).

  • Provide direct age-appropriate support and care to vulnerable adolescent and young women (including survivors of GBV) that includes counselling and case management for under 18 years’ survivors in line with case management: Best Interest Determination (BID), age-appropriate engagement and decision making by survivor. 
  • Ensure Do No Harm analysis are carried out and the principle of Do No Harm is observed and upheld in all the engagements of the Case Worker. 
  • Maintain confidentiality and ethical conduct.
  • Submit weekly and monthly activities reports to the supervisor every Friday and at the end of each month. 

Requirements

  • University Degree or equivalent in Social Work, Social Science, Development studies or equivalent combination of relevant training and experience
  • Between One and Three years of work experience in Protection work, supervision, community mobilization and distributions and solid understanding of the actual Nigeria Emergency context.
  • Proven ability to supervise a CP project with holistic approach and integrated to child protection right. 
  • Speaking fluent English, and other languages of Northern Nigeria is an advantage. 
  • Computer literate. 
  • High level of personal integrity, commitment, and professional responsibility. 
  • Excellent communication skills. 
  • Team player with strong leadership skills. 
  • Able to be a self-started and work in challenging contexts and fragile environment.
