We are recruiting a PROSPECTING & INSTITUTIONAL LANDLORD PARTNERSHIPS OFFICER – CDI
YOUR MAIN MISSIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting to the Director of the Development and Partnerships Department, within a department made up of 4 employees, including yourself, and a consultant based in Geneva (Switzerland), your main missions are as follows:
A/ Instruction and presentation of project proposals for public institutional donors, support for contractualization in relation to other operational departments
- Participate in the project development process, including the drafting and timely submission of proposals, supporting other departments in their development
- Carry out consistency and quality control of documents produced in the context of calls for tender or over-the-counter negotiations
- Provide and verify administrative information relating to the FIDH and develop, among other things, presentation sheets for FIDH member organisations
- Submit finalized proposals on the relevant platforms
- Support teams in reviewing and negotiating financing contracts, coordinating the signing process and submitting final documents to the relevant platforms.
The manager may be required to carry out some of these tasks when presenting proposals to other stakeholders (foundations, etc.).
B/ Funding research
- Conduct targeted research (mapping) on potential financial partners, institutional and sometimes private, obtaining and facilitating meetings with prospects, according to the needs of the geographic and thematic offices (programs) and occasionally for flexible funds
- Ensure active monitoring of financing opportunities
- Analyze calls for proposals and funding opportunities, develop summaries and participate in the Go/No Go decision with the Operations Department (DOP), Advocacy and General Management during bi-monthly meetings.
C/ Management of relations with institutional financial partners
- Be the focal point for certain institutional donors (AFD and EU in particular), in collaboration with the FIDH transformation program coordination officer, in order to centralize information, procedures and good practices and support the teams on these aspects
- Build strong relationships with institutional donors through relevant and responsive communication, and support teams in maintaining partnership relationships and meeting contractual obligations, particularly in terms of reporting. Proofread reports if requested.
- Participate in the representation of the FIDH if relevant during discussions on the monitoring of projects financed by institutional donors.
D/ Database and archiving
- Update and archive files on the shared file platform (Ramses) and in particular project proposals, contracts, meeting minutes and evaluations
- Participate in updating internal policies: translation (English/French), formatting, archiving
- Track projects via Salesforce and collaborate with external consultants to configure and improve this tool.
E/ Other tasks
- Prepare short reports for certain financial partners (Core funding)
- Represent the department during programmatic meetings (flash, DOP-Advocacy, etc.)
- Participate in the organization, in conjunction with the departments, of virtual or in-person events
- Take part in awareness-raising and training activities for FIDH employees, and possibly member organizations, in the area of fundraising from institutional donors
- Participate and represent FIDH in activities proposed by the NGO networks of which FIDH is a member
- Contribute to the definition of the department’s multi-year fundraising strategy, action plans, annual budget and reporting
- Participate in the development of prospecting tools
- On the guidance of the Department Director, support colleagues in other ad hoc tasks.
REQUIRED PROFILE
Level of education, experience
- You have a Master 2 level of training , if possible in the field of project management , and you have a specialization in fundraising
- During a previous experience, you have acquired good knowledge of the general context of public development aid and a mastery of the procedures of the main institutional donors
- You have a strong interest in the human rights sector and are familiar with some of the key players and the major international and geopolitical issues. You are interested in current events.
- Upon entering the position, you have at least 3 years of professional experience in one or more similar roles.
Skills (know-how, interpersonal skills)
- You are motivated and show initiative to secure new funding
- Ideally, you are proficient in Salesforce or other CRM software.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and French are required, and ideally fluency in a third language.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
- Full-time permanent contract – 39 hours/week
- Position based in Paris 11th – You will work from the FIDH office in Paris, in a lively and central area (near Bastille and Gare de Lyon). FIDH recognizes that flexible working arrangements are important for work-life balance, and offers the possibility of working from home up to 80% with a minimum of 4 face-to-face days per month.
