General purpose of the position

The HR Recruiter is responsible for facilitating all aspects of the recruitment process, from sourcing and attracting talent through generating recruitment plans to extending offers and onboarding, in collaboration with the HR Coordinator and Manager for project required positions at all levels. This person will work with an existing HR team to develop recruiting excellence for the organization.

Tasks and Main Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with hiring managers to identify staffing needs, job specifications, duties and responsibilities, competencies, qualifications, and skills.
  • Develops and maintains all job descriptions and job postings; and execute all required job postings in a timely manner.
  • Completes and distributes high quality weekly and monthly staffing reports.
  • Develops, maintains and presents HR recruiting metrics.
  • Initiates and maintains contact with qualified candidates for specific job openings throughout recruitment and hiring process.
  • Reviews and coordinates candidate applications, facilitate phone interviews/ screenings as needed, longlist candidates to hiring managers, and facilitate in applicant interviews as needed.
  • Develops/maintains contacts and act as liaison with schools, alumni groups, outreach organizations, and other groups as necessary to meet recruiting objectives.
  • Responds to requests for specific application procedures, company and organization information, and general job opportunities on a regular basis.
  • Additional duties include execution and coordination of the onboarding and orientation process with new employees, creating periodic compliance and reconciliation reporting utilizing ATS/HRIS, and collaboration with the team regarding specific initiatives, programs or issues affecting the organization.
  • Be flexible to perform any other HR tasks assigned by HR Manager or HR Coordinator.

Position Requirements

  • BS/BA degree in Business Administration, Social Sciences or equivalent
  • Minimum experience of 2 – 4 years in HR.
  • A higher degree or professional qualification in HR is an advantage.
  • Excellent analytical, interpersonal and computer (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) skills are required
  • Demonstrated success in multicultural environments is required.
  • Experience using HR software is an advantage
  • Work within the framework of IINTERSOS Nigeria’s core values.
  • Act as an ambassador for INTERSOS Nigeria, through professionalism and conduct.
  • Adhere to all INTERSOS policies and procedures both technical and administrational.
  • Undertake and apply learning from appropriate training and development programmes.
  • Maintain and care for all equipment issued by INTERSOS Nigeria and for any losses or damages due to negligence you will be liable for repair or replacement.
