Duty Description:

Under the direct supervision of the WASH Programme Manager/WASH Programme Coordinator, successful candidate will be responsible for daily technical planning, supervision, documentation and reporting of field activities including ensuring proper coordination with community Stakeholders. The WASH Officer will Supervise and monitor the WASH activity implemented in LPF Programme locations, providing support to the field team in terms of coordination and technical support.

Job Description:

  • Support the Organization to define programme work plan, support the field staff for its implementation, and reporting Activities as may be required.
  • Supervise the implementation of all project activities.
  • Coordinate with the field team, the municipality focal point and the line managers
  • Support the development and maintenance of external relations particularly with beneficiaries, municipality staff, donors and other NGOs.
  • Supervise subordinates to ensure they are working effectively and to the best of their capacity
  • Participate in staff training, helping to build technical capacity of staff and volunteers in the area of WASH
  • Develop and present Reports for the programme and liaise with his/her Line Manager for onward actions as may be required
  • Report possible problem or conflict including Acts of potential Conflict during the field activities.
  • Report the use of materials and possible improvement.
  • Participate/Support in data collection regarding the project and the potentials beneficiaries
  • Participate in conducting assessments, in surveys and monitoring of the project as and when requested.
  • Dedicated participation in all Programme activities, with decent and standardized behaviour towards beneficiaries. donor and LPF staff.
  • Adhere to implementation of standards, LPF ways of working and the terms of the LPF Code of Conduct; including the commitment to zero tolerance on SEA and the obligation to report SEA
  • Be committed to participate to any other work in order to achieved the project goal that may be assigned by the line manager.

Experience, Skill and Qualification:

  • Candidate must have obtained a minimum of HND or a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Public health or any other relevant discipline
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of the Local language and Proficient in English have an advantage.
