Are you a researcher residing in Georgia with a passion for gender equality and social research? Do you want to enhance your skills in analyzing time-use data to address critical issues related to gender dynamics?
CRRC-Georgia and UN Women invite applications from researchers, professionals, and students to participate in an intensive Time Use Survey (TUS) Data Analysis Training Programme. This initiative aims to strengthen the capacity in TUS analysis and support research on time use and gender equality in Georgia.
What is Time Use Survey (TUS)?
TUS is a household-based survey that collects data on the 24-hour activities of all eligible household members (aged 15 and above). It covers daily behaviors, including unpaid work, caregiving, self-care, sleep, social, and leisure activities.
In Georgia, the first-ever Time Use Survey (GTUS) was conducted in 2020–2021 by the National Statistics Office of Georgia with support from UN Women. The findings revealed significant gender disparities, with women spending five times more time on unpaid domestic and care work compared to men, who spend more time on paid employment and leisure.

Who Should Apply?

- Researchers, academics, and graduate students specializing in human rights, gender studies, sociology, economics, or related fields.
- Professionals working with NGOs, government agencies, or international organizations focused on gender equality and social policy.
- Analysts and data scientists with a strong interest in human rights and gender-focused research and analysis.
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must be based in Georgia.
- Demonstrated interest or experience in gender-focused research or time use data.
- Knowledge of statistics and quantitative data analysis.
- Familiarity with STATA or SPSS.
- Fluency in English (the training will be conducted in English).

What’s Next?
- If shortlisted, you will be invited for an online pre-orientation session in early March 2025.
- Participate in an in-person, three-day training in Tbilisi from March 19–21, 2025.
