Job Description
- We are seeking an experienced Solar Energy Systems Specialist to lead our technical teams in designing, installing, and maintaining off-grid solar PV solutions for our projects in Adamawa State, Nigeria.
- The ideal candidate will have a strong background in solar energy systems, with a specialization in off-grid solar PV solutions.
Responsibilities
- Technical Leadership: Lead technical teams in the design, installation, and maintenance of off-grid solar PV systems.
- Project Management: Oversee large-scale solar projects, ensuring timely completion, quality, and budget adherence.
- System Design: Design and optimize off-grid solar PV systems, including energy storage and backup solutions.
- Installation and Commissioning: Supervise installation and commissioning of solar PV systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Maintenance and Repair: Develop and implement maintenance schedules, perform repairs, and troubleshoot system issues.
- Training and Capacity Building: Train and build capacity of local technicians and stakeholders on solar PV system installation, operation, and maintenance.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure quality control measures are in place, adhering to industry standards and best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in solar energy systems, with a specialization in off-grid solar PV solutions.
- Strong knowledge of solar PV system design, installation, and maintenance.
- Proven experience leading technical teams in large-scale solar projects.
- Excellent communication and training skills.
- NABCEP or equivalent certification in solar PV installation and design.
