Hope and Rural Aid Foundation (HARAF) is a National Non-Governmental organisation focused on Humanitarian and developmental response program in Nigeria, with thematic areas across CCCM/Sheter-NFIs, Education, Food Security and Livelihood and Protection.
HARAF works with an excited team to deliver on its humanitarian and development efforts while supporting staff professional development.
HARAF is seeking qualified candidates for opportunities at Gombi and Hong LGAs of Adamawa State.
Security Officer
- Implement security protocols and procedures to safeguard personnel, assets, and operations.
- Conduct risk assessments and security surveys to identify threats and vulnerabilities.
- Develop and maintain security plans, including contingency and evacuation procedures.
- Monitor and analyze security incidents and trends, providing timely updates and recommendations.
- Liaise with local authorities, security forces, and other stakeholders on security-related matters.
- Conduct security briefings and trainings for staff to raise awareness and enhance preparedness.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure compliance with security protocols and standards.
Qualifications and Experience for all Positions
• Relevant experience for the different roles and demonstration of capacity to hold the position.
• Bachelor’s degree, diploma or its equivalent preferably with social sciences.
• Demonstrated experience and commitment to working in conflict affected communities.
• Fluency in English and excellent writing skills.
• Strong analytical, reporting, strategic thinking and planning skills.
• Fair monitoring and evaluation skills/experience.
• Knowledge of project cycle management.
• Deep knowledge of the environment.
