Technology for Social Change and Development Initiative is a non-profit organization founded in 2016. Tech4Dev was established to empower African communities with digital skills that will bridge the gap of unskilled labour needed for the future of work. We have over the years, implemented projects that inspire, advocate, and train people on basic digital skills, programming skills, and essential skills needed for the future of work. The African youth is inaptly engaged in low-quality jobs with low opportunities for sustainable development. As low-skilled jobs are lost to automation, it is critical that young people are equipped with the necessary skills to secure decent work.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Community Management Intern

Location: Ogudu, Lagos
Employment Type: Internship

Duties

  • Assist to build, grow and manage Tech4Dev’s tech community
  • Assist to create and implement programs/events that foster engagement within Tech4Dev’s tech community
  • Respond to beneficiary inquiries & comments on social platforms in a timely manner
  • Monitor forums’ conversations and provide feedback to leadership when required
  • Assist in the implementation of a tech mentorship program
  • Seek out and link the community with opportunities needed for career growth
  • Use analytics tools to monitor social media outlets and online forums.

Minimum Requirements

  • Candidates should possess an Bachelor’s Degree qualification.
  • Minimum of 6 months’ work experiencein Community Management or a related field

Skills & Competencies:

  • Passionate about connecting people to solutions and seeing them excel
  • A master multitasker with great project management skills
  • Experience managing social media channels
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Familiar with tech lingo and trends
  • A peopleperson, empathetic and build rapport easily.

Salary
N50,000 / month.
