Key Responsibilities:
- Instruct students on how computers work, including the basic science and mathematics behind their operation and the hardware and software built on those foundations.
- Teach students how to write computer programs, algorithms, and programming languages.
- Create lesson plans and utilize various curriculum resources.
- Integrate competencies, goals, and objectives into lesson plans.
- Create projects designed to enhance lectures.
- Keep records of grades, grade papers, and perform other administrative duties as needed.
- Work with program coordinators to ensure initiatives are being met.
- Read and stay abreast of current trends in information technology.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related discipline
- 5 years of prior experience as an ICT Teacher in a school setting
- Applicable professional qualification, such as Microsoft, Oracle, or Cisco certification
- Passionate about fostering computer literacy and academic excellence
- Excellent presentation abilities
- Strong written and administrative skills
- Able to use an interactive or smart board
- 21st-century teaching skills
- TRCN Certification is an added advantage
