About RESCUE
The International Rescue Committee (RESCUE) was founded in 1933 on the initiative of Albert Einstein and is today an international humanitarian organization with operations in over 40 countries worldwide. At the end of 2019, RESCUE opened an office in Stockholm with the goal of creating engagement and increasing knowledge about humanitarian crises and how they affect people, as well as raising funds from the public in Sweden. We currently have around 20 employees at our office at Gullmarsplan in Stockholm.
About the practice
As an intern, you will be part of the fundraising team. We are looking for someone who is interested in fundraising, marketing and communication. You should be a strong communicator in Swedish and curious about working with email, social media and producing content for different communication channels. Depending on your background, there is the possibility to adapt the internship to your interest and expertise.
Main tasks
- Create engaging content to email to existing donors.
- Conduct research and create materials such as quizzes, Q&A, presentations and advertisements.
- Translate and write articles for the website and donation pages.
- Global monitoring of trends and news.
- Act as a mystery shopper and evaluate our fundraising efforts in town.
- Other support for the fundraising team.
The internship is for you who
- For example, studying marketing, communications or other relevant education.
- Enjoys writing and translating.
- Is fluent in writing in Swedish and English.
- Is creative and driven.
It is a plus if you also have knowledge and are interested in learning more about one or more of the following areas:
- graphic design.
- create content for digital media.
- trends in fundraising and marketing.
- work in the humanitarian sector.

To apply for the internship, you need to take an internship course or have LiA through an institution of higher education such as a university, college or vocational school, or you have an approved work internship through the Swedish Public Employment Service. We do not offer a salary or compensation. The internship is 20 weeks, i.e. one full semester.
