Mines Advisory Group (MAG) is a humanitarian, non-profit organization committed to creating a safe and secure future for communities affected by armed violence and conflict. Since 1989, we have worked in over 40 countries, focusing on:

  • Reclaiming land contaminated with remnants of conflict, including landmines, cluster munitions, bombs, shells, and mortars.
  • Reducing the risk of injury and death caused by explosive hazards.
  • Creating safe conditions for sustainable development, free from armed violence.

MAG has been operating in Nigeria since 2016 in collaboration with national and local stakeholders. Our work is centered on reducing unregulated Small Arms and Light Weapons (SALW) and preventing weapons and ammunition diversion. We maintain close coordination with ECOWAS – Small Arms Division and the National Commissions on SALW to achieve these objectives.

THE OVERALL OBJECTIVE

The objective of this advertisement is to appoint a suitable Tax Consultancy firm who can carry out 2021 – 2024 tax related matters for MAG office situated in Maiduguri, Borno State, Nigeria.

REQUIRED SERVICES

The Consultant firm shall be required to carry out the following assignment

  • Tax advisory services and liaising between MAG and the relevant tax authorities to resolve 2021- 2024 PAYE and WHT tax matters
  • Obtain vendors credit notes
  • Gathering and organizing necessary documents and records for the tax audit.
  • Obtain 2024 tax clearance certificate for Maiduguri staff
  • Collection of 2024 PAYE and WHT receipts
  • Collection of non-liability letter from tax authority for the years under review  DELIVERABLES/REPORTING

The consultants will as a minimum submit the following:

  • 2024 tax clearance certificate  
  • Non-liability letter from tax authority for the years under review
  • 2024 PAYE and WHT receipts
  • Vendors credit notes

Qualification of the consultant/Firm:

  • A reputable firm with a minimum of 7 years’ expertise and experience in advising on tax issues.
  • Demonstrated experience in the analysis of Nigeria’s tax system.  
  • Evidence of Tax Compliance Certificate.
