PURPOSE OF ENGAGEMENT
AfriLabs is seeking experienced facilitators to deliver engaging, practical, and results-driven training sessions to women entrepreneurs across Nigeria.
SCOPE OF WORK
The selected facilitators will:
- Review and understand the Curriculum and Content
- Review the prepared curriculum and training materials ahead of each session.
- Participate in the Training of Trainers Sessions for the Programme
- Attend train the trainer (ToT) sessions on facilitation techniques, curriculum adaptation, and learner engagement to be held from September 5th, 2025, the time and venue will be communicated.
- Deliver Training Contents
- Deliver engaging training sessions covering relevant topics as outlined in the curriculum content shared and following the ToT sessions.
- Develop any supplementary practical exercises based on the context received while interacting with the women led businesses.
- Assess participant understanding during sessions and provide clarifications as needed.
- Conduct interactive workshops, Q&A sessions, and hands-on activities.
- Offer ongoing support to startups
- Provide mentorship and guidance to the women led businesses throughout the acceleration period.
- Continuously Assess Startups throughout the Programme
- Evaluate participants’ progress based on classwork and assignments, offering constructive feedback for improvement.
- Provide Insights for programme’s Evaluation & Improvement
- Contribute to programme’s evaluation by sharing insights and recommendations for improvement.
THEMATIC AREAS (CURRICULUM TOPICS)
Facilitators will be recruited to cover one or more of the following modules:
- Diagnostics & Audit SWOT, personality tests, business model canvas, digital/financial audits.
- Business Strategy Business model optimisation, customer analysis, market sizing, gender norms & bias, leadership and vision setting.
- Compliance Business compliance in Nigeria, tax & regulatory obligations, industry standards, HR/operations/finance policies.
- Financial Management Bookkeeping, financial statements, pricing, cashflow management, budgeting, forecasting, taxation.
- Digital Skills & Transformation Branding, online presence, no-code website tools, AI tools, social media strategy, SEO, analytics.
- Scale Plan Leadership and team management, SOPs and systems for scale, partnerships, scaling strategies.
- Investment Readiness Funding sources, ESG/gender lens investing, pitch deck development, investor simulations, financial projections.
- E-Commerce Lab E-commerce platforms optimisation, product presentation, digital marketing mastery, logistics & fulfilment, analytics.
- Agribusiness Lab Value chain optimisation, agritech tools, IoT & drones, quality standards, agribusiness financing models.
- Role Model & Field Visits (optional facilitation support) Exposure sessions with industry leaders, site visits to agribusiness/e-commerce enterprises.
REMUNERATION & PAYMENT TERMS
- Remuneration Range: (N500,000- N700,000)
- Payment will be made in full (100%) upon satisfactory completion and delivery of services and will be subject to the applicable tax deduction.
- For Nigerian Applicants, renumeration will be made at the prevailing bank rate.
- Deliverables will be Hybrid (Both Physical and Virtual); facilitators must be based in Lagos, Abuja, or Abia State.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATION
- Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent qualification
- Proven experience in facilitation and training delivery, preferably with women entrepreneurs or SMEs.
- Expertise in one or more of the thematic areas covered in the curriculum topics listed above.
- Excellent public speaking and facilitation skills
- Experience using interactive learning techniques and digital tools.
REPORTING & COORDINATION
The facilitator will report to the Senior Programmes Officer (AfriLabs) and coordinate closely with the AfriLabs Programmes Team.

EVALUATION CRITERIA
Evaluation of each applicant will be based on the following:
Technical Proposal (65%)
- Submission of the requested documents as outlined in the method of application for each category
- Proof of required qualification and expertise
- Proof of work done in relation to the requested scope
- Please indicate the thematic areas in which you have expertise within your cover letter (this is essential). If you are proficient in more than two thematic areas, kindly highlight this in your cover letter as well.
Financial Proposal (35%)
- Financial proposal should be submitted in Naira and kindly indicate if the amount proposed is negotiable.
- Validity of the financial proposal should be minimum of 6 months.
