Empowering Women for Excellence Initiative (EWEI) is a Non-Governmental Organisation founded in April 2008. EWEI has been actively working to achieve her vision of the empowerment of women and girls through enlightenment. With over 25,000 beneficiaries and dedicated staff, EWEI is eager to welcome new team members passionate about serving communities and pursuing our mission of providing multi-sectoral intervention for the development and empowerment of girls and women. We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Regional Officer (RO)
Location: Remote (residents of Abuja (FCT) and Lagos State only)
Employment Type: Contract
Responsibilities
- Supports EWEI’s strategic communications
- Leads on regional communications and fundraising tasks as assigned
- Drives regional programmatic organisational tasks as assigned
- Participation in and recruitment into EWEI’s online portfolio of activities
- EWEI representation at assigned events and engagements
Education, Qualification and Competencies
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline. Additional qualification in gender related studies is a plus
- Non-profit volunteering experience
- Experience of working in a team and under pressure
- Excellent social media and online engagement skills
- Excellent computer skills (documents/spreadsheets/databases/presentations/calendars/email)
- Marketing and Influencing skills
- Excellent spoken and written English and at least one local language
- Foreign languages including French are an advantage
- Interest in gender issues & international development
- Must be passionate about and committed to learning
