Overview of CPPLI
Child Protection and Peer Learning Initiative (CPPLI) is a human-centered social development not-for-profit, non-partisan, non-sectarian National Non-Governmental Organization (NNGO) that was established and registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in June 2010 with the sole aim of ensuring that less privilege and vulnerable children (particularly girls) and women as well as populations affected by humanitarian emergencies have access and attain a quality life and education through building sustainable partnership with government agencies, UN-agencies, communities, individuals and other stakeholders in obtaining mechanisms and resources to achieve its aim and focus. The organization thematically focuses on Protection, Health, Nutrition, Education and Governance. Being a national and local organization, CPPLI is geographically operating in the Northeast Nigeria with tremendous technical expertise of working in Borno, Adamawa and Yobe (BAY) states due to its well understanding of the cultural dynamics and change in context of the communities in the BAY states.
CPPLI stand against Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (SEA).
CPPLI has a zero-tolerance policy with regard to SEA by her personnel. All forms of sexual exploitation and abuse are incompatible with the universally accepted norms, values, principles and standards that underpin CPPLI. Protection from SEA is the responsibility of everyone and all selected candidates will be required to comply with the CPPLI’s PSEA Policy at all times. Selected candidates will therefore undergo rigorous reference and background checks against their past behavior related to sexual exploitation and abuse, and may be required to provide additional information further on in the selection process

ADVERT FOR RECRUITMENT OF GBV CASEWORKERS AND WGSS AT CPPLI

PURPOSE
The GBV Caseworker ensures that survivors receive timely, appropriate, and quality support by assessing their needs, developing individualized care plans, and facilitating access to multi-sectoral services including health, psychosocial support, legal assistance, and safety services.
Guided by core principles of confidentiality, safety, respect, and non-discrimination, the caseworker empowers survivors to make informed decisions about their care while prioritizing their dignity and well-being.
Major Responsibilities of GBV Caseworkers
In collaboration with other colleagues of the NHF funded GBV project in CPPLI, the caseworker will be responsible for the following:
- Provide professional and confidential services to GBV survivors and Persons with Disabilities in line with GBV minimum standard.
- document client information through the accurate filling of intake forms and ensure confidential and safe storage in the GBV primero dashboard.
- Ensure the GBVIMS (Gender-Based Violence Information Management System) is accurately updated regularly.
- Participate in the interpretation of the data analyzed on trends and work with the Project Manager to disseminate information to all relevant stakeholders.
- Monitor how the GBV referral pathway is working by making direct follow-ups with other organizations that are providing services to survivors.
- Develop individualized case plans and referrals for women and girls including people with disability
- WGSS Engagements and provision of support to safe space supervisors and community protection mechanisms.
- Co-facilitate WGSS activities when WGSS facilitators require support or are on leave.
- Facilitate or support in the facilitation of sessions to increase awareness of the consequences of GBV, and Disability Exclusion, promote available services to women and girls, especially women and girls with disabilities, and address stigma preventing access to services at the women’s centers.
- Collaborate with other stakeholders to ensure fruitful and smooth field-level coordination.
- Identify strategic collaboration and implement activities in collaboration with other service providers and conduct actor mapping.

- Carryout any other activity as may be assigned by the supervisor.
TECHNICAL EXPERTISE AND SKILLS
- Minimum of a University Degree, HND, ND, OND or NCE in related field.
- Minimum of 1-year experience in a similar role.
- Excellent ability in computer skills especially Microsoft applications.
- Good understanding of CPIMS+ Primero application
- Having strong understanding of GBViE + programming.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Excellent English language writing and speaking skills.
- Fluency in Local Language is mandatory.
- Ability to work collaboratively with others colleagues
- Ability to organize ideas in a logical and structured manner.
- Ability to prioritize workload and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

Roles and Responsibilities
Safe space supervisors are members of the project community identified/selected and strengthened to support CPPLI in service delivery. The primary role of this group will be:
- Facilitate structured and or recreational support activities foe women and girls including person with disabilities in women and girls’ safe space through community-based approach in the target community of intervention.
- In collaboration with safe space supervisor, conduct awareness and sanitization activities targeting the wider community members on the functions and objective of the women and girls’ safe space in the community.
- Ensure safeguarding of adolescent’s girls participating in safe space activities and other women and girls in the safe Space.
- Coordinating adolescents’ girls and women participations in safe space and empowering women and girls with skills with knowledge serve as a advocate of change.
- Provide community safety nets for vulnerable women and girls for the purpose of project sustainability
- Ensure a safe environment for women and girl’s safe space
- Carry out other responsibility as may be assigned by the supervisor
EDUCATION
- A minimum of secondary school completion certificate with 2 years of professional experience preferably in protection related field or
- Higher education certificate with 1 year of professional experience preferably in protection related field.
TECHNICAL EXPERTISE AND SKILLS
- Fluency in the native language of the community.
- Been a primary school teacher is an added advantage.
- Good writing skill.
- Ability to work collaboratively with others
- Having no any record of abusing children or sexual exploitation and abuse in the community.
