Job Summary

  • We’re looking for a highly organized Project Officer to join our team and play a key role in managing and supervising the technical aspects of our projects, from inception to completion.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Project Manager to manage project lifecycles, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
  • Conduct stakeholder engagement activities to gather requirements, manage expectations, and ensure project alignment.
  • Assist in developing project scope statements, Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), and project plans using relevant methodologies
  • Apply quality management principles throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Track progress, monitor risks, and identify issues proactively.
  • Identify good fit grants and develop the necessary content for the grant application on time by answering questions, reviewing language, interpreting the requirements and processing submissions when required and approved.
  • Coordinate quality control checks and review all grant material.
  • Build and nurture relationships with grant-making organisations, Foundations and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Stay informed about trends and developments in the grant funding landscape and adjust grant-seeking strategies accordingly.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to gather the necessary financial, programmatic and impact data for reporting to grantors.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Project Management or a related field.
  • 1–2 years of experience in project management within the Non Profit Sector
  • Proven experience in grant and proposal writing.
  • Proficiency in project management methodologies.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
