Job Title: Program Manager
Location: Umuahia / Arochukwu, Abia
Employment Type: Full-time
Key Responsibilities
Program Management:
- Oversee the implementation and evaluation of scholarship programs.
- Coordinate the selection process for scholarship recipients, ensuring transparency and fairness.
- Monitor the progress and performance of scholarship recipients.
- Onboarding new recipients into the scholarship program
Partnership Sourcing:
- Identify and establish strategic partnerships with educational institutions, NGOs, International organizations and corporate sponsors to enhance the Foundation’s impact.
- Develop and manage relationships with key stakeholders to secure funding and resources for the scholarship programs.
- Negotiate agreements and partnerships that align with the Foundation’s goals.
Awareness & Outreach:
- Develop and execute strategies to raise awareness about the Foundation’s mission and programs.
- Create social media contents, marketing materials, news letters etc to drive awareness of the Foundation’s mission.
- Organize events, campaigns, and other activities to promote the Foundation and attract new donors and partners.
Program Monitoring & Reporting:
- Implement monitoring and evaluation frameworks to track the effectiveness and impact of scholarship programs.
- Prepare and present regular reports on program activities, outcomes, and financial status to the Managing Director and Partners.
- Ensure compliance with donor requirements and provide timely updates on the use of funds.
Budget Management:
- Develop and manage program budgets, ensuring funds are allocated efficiently and in line with the Foundation’s objectives.
- Monitor expenditures and ensure adherence to financial guidelines and reporting requirements.
Team Leadership:
- Create a pipeline of volunteers who can partner with the Foundation for outreaches.
- Provide training and support to volunteer staff involved in program delivery and monitoring.
Continuous Improvement:
- Stay informed about trends and best practices in education and scholarship management.
- Identify opportunities for program improvement and implement changes to enhance effectiveness and impact.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Partnership Development:
- Number of new partnerships established annually.
- Amount of funds raised through partnerships and sponsorships.
- Growth in in-kind contributions and resources from partners.
Program Impact:
- Number of scholarships awarded and renewed each year.
- Academic performance and retention rates of scholarship recipients.
- Percentage of scholarship recipients progressing to higher education or employment.
Awareness & Outreach:
- Increase in public awareness and engagement with the Foundation’s mission.
- Growth in social media followers and engagement metrics.
- Number and quality of outreach events and campaigns organized.
Program Monitoring & Reporting:
- Timeliness and accuracy of program reports submitted.
- Quality and comprehensiveness of monitoring and evaluation data collected.
- Compliance with donor requirements and audit results.
Budget Management:
- Adherence to program budget with minimal variance.
- Efficiency in fund allocation and cost management.
- Successful fundraising to meet or exceed budget targets.
Team Leadership:
- Satisfaction and retention rates of volunteer staff
- Effectiveness of training and development initiatives for volunteer staff.
- Achievement of team objectives and milestones.
