LARIF Peace Empowerment Foundation (LPEF) is a humanitarian and developmental non-profit organisation founded in February 2022. The organization is working to address Humanitarian and
developmental issues across the world through research, quick impact project, long term impact project, advocacy, and governance support. LPEF specializes in Education and Skills Development; Women Empowerment and Gender Equality; Youth Empowerment and Entrepreneurship; Sustainable Development and Environmental Conservation; and Health.
(LPEF) aimed at working with the community-based structures to harness potentials of youths towards achieving sustainable peace and development through Utilization of local wisdom and resources, innovation and creativity, Stewardship and Excellence, coordination and networking.
Based in the Federal Capital Territory, (FCT), LPEF has field Offices in the Northeast – Borno and Adamawa States; and the Northwest – Kaduna State

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
The project will primarily address gender-based violence while also addressing peacebuilding, climate change, livelihood, and child protection. It will be concentrated in Adamawa state’s LGAs of Gombi, Hong, and Yola North. It is a community-cantered program aimed to engage children, youths, and adults through activities that mainstream social cohesion, increase awareness on GBV, self-reliance and promote child protection to address the root causes of violence and conflict. The activities will involve:
- Community and religious leaders are Fully equipped to understand and address challenges of conflict.
- Families are support through trained community and religious leaders to build a community support group through working collaboratively to identify and resolve conflict related to deradicalization.
- Training of children and youths on peacebuilding and conflict resolution; self esteem and confidence; and Citizenship.
- Establishment of Children and Youths forum across communities to increase social cohesion and resilience.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Larif Peace Empowerment Foundation is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Program Manager Consultant to join our team. This position plays a pivotal role in overseeing and managing the successful implementation of our programs and projects. Payment for this role will be accordance with authorized work plan. The Program Manager Consultant will work closely with stakeholders, coordinating efforts, monitoring progress, and ensuring the efficient execution of program activities aligned with our mission and objectives.
NB:
This position will be on a hybrid basis and will require field visits as much as possible when required.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Program Planning and Strategy:
- Collaborate with the executive team to develop program strategies and goals aligned with the foundation’s mission and vision.
- Conduct needs assessments and stakeholder analyses to identify program priorities and target beneficiaries.
- Design program frameworks, including logical frameworks, work plans, and monitoring and evaluation plans.
- Develop strategies to enhance program effectiveness, sustainability, and impact.
PROJECT MANAGEMENT:
Oversee the planning, implementation, and evaluation of multiple programs and projects.
Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
Coordinate and collaborate with cross-functional teams, ensuring effective communication and collaboration among team members. Monitor project progress, identify potential risks or delays, and develop mitigation strategies.
Ensure that projects are delivered within scope, on time, and within budget.
Stakeholder Engagement and Partnership Building: - Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including partner organizations, community leaders, and government entities.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities for collaboration and resource mobilization.
- Coordinate and facilitate meetings, workshops, and consultations with stakeholders to gather input, build consensus, and ensure their engagement in program activities.
- Act as a spokesperson and advocate for the foundation’s programs, promoting awareness and generating support.
Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning: - Develop and implement monitoring and evaluation systems to track program performance and outcomes.
- Collect and analyze program data, identifying trends, successes, challenges, and lessons learned.
- Use evaluation findings to inform program adjustments and improvements.
- Prepare regular progress reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Resource Mobilization: - Identify and pursue funding opportunities to support program implementation and expansion.
- Prepare high-quality proposals, grant applications, and donor reports in collaboration with the finance team.
- Build and maintain relationships with donors and funding agencies, ensuring compliance with grant requirements.
- Collaborate with the finance team to develop program budgets and ensure effective financial management.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., international development, social sciences).
- 5 years of proven experience in program management, including planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of program planning methodologies, logical frameworks, and monitoring and evaluation frameworks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain partnerships with NGOs, government agencies, and community organizations.
- Experience in resource mobilization and grant management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with peacebuilding, empowerment, or development programs is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of self-motivation and initiative.
- Proficiency at using Microsoft Office: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook etc. is required.
- Ability to work under short deadlines and efficiently handle multiple tasks.
- Attention to detail and the ability to function well in a team.
- Experience of working in a conflict environment is a plus.
- Fluency in oral and written English is required.
