Zenith Of the Girl Child and Women Initiative Support is a leading girls and women’s rights organization that promotes gender equality, reaching the most vulnerable, and promoting meaningful inclusion. The organization is a registered non-profit, non-governmental female/youth-led organization that aims to prevent and protect women and girls against all forms of gender-based violence, abuse, and discrimination. Zenith of the Girl Child and Women Initiative Support advocates and influence policies in favor of women and girls. ZEGCAWIS create awareness and sensitize communities on the Sexual and reproductive Health rights, prevention of sexual and all forms of gender-based violence information and response services. ZEGCAWIS has been in existence since 2016, it became officially registered with cooperate affairs commission in Nigeria 2018. Working together with Relevant stake holders, women, young people, supporters and partners, we strive for a just world, where women and girls as well children’s Right will be protected and supported, a world where everyone will have equal access to opportunities, economic empowerment and be treated with respect and dignity irrespective of their sex, gender, Race and religion differences.

PROGRAM COORDINATOR
Reports to: Executive Director
Location: Maiduguri
Duration of assignment: 6 months (with a possibility of renewal based on performance).
Scope of Work
ZEGCAWIS is seeking an efficient, passionate program coordinator to join our team and maximize our impact as an organization. The program coordinator will be responsible for developing effective programs, overseeing activities and details, and measuring overall success. Their duties will consist of managing various administrative tasks, tracking the budget, and ensuring that the program meets organizational goals. With a commitment to growth and career development, our candidate will also strive to create positive experiences for all employees and repeat best practices for future programs.
Responsibilities
· Assist with planning and coordination of programs and their activities
· Monitor implementation of program policies and practices
· Work to keep programs on schedule, within stated budgets and functioning smoothly
· Support program growth and development as necessary
· Coordinate program communications
· Manage staff work assignments, workloads and work schedules
· Administer or oversee fund raising operations for programs as well as community outreach
· Oversee the program budget, including tracking billing, payments and other financial transactions
· Coordinate interactions/relationships between staff, clients, administrators and all other program stakeholders
· Schedule and organize program-related meetings and events
· Oversee the use of technology for program operations, such as video conferencing technology, presentation software and other communications technologies, for instance
· Create and maintain program records, reports, presentations and proposals
Knowledge/Skills
· Good communication skills, oral and written.
· Should demonstrate proficiency in project management, organization, communication, and leadership
· Exceptional organizational skills for planning and executing programs
· Time management skills to balance multiple projects
· Should have great problem-solving logic
· Critical thinking and the ability to work under stress
· Should have good administrative and office skills, be good with numbers, and possess problem-solving skills
· Well-organized, detail-oriented, and able to think ahead
· Ability to develop and manage professional relations, with outstanding interpersonal and coordination skills.
· A combination of hard and soft skills, including project management and communication, is also necessary
· Tolerance and respect for ZEGCAWIS core values, and gender sensitivity
Education
A bachelor’s degree in a related field, such as business administration, public administration, project management and communications.
