ECEWS is implementing a US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) funded project aimed at Delivering Comprehensive and Sustainable HIV/AIDS Clinical and Community Services to achieve HIV epidemic control in sub-National units of Delta, Osun and Ekiti States in Nigeria under PEPFAR and the Accelerating Control for HIV Epidemic Project (ACE) funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) in Akwa Ibom & Cross River States targeted at achieving epidemic control thereby reducing transmission and improving the quality of life of those living with HIV.

Job Description

  • The incumbent will be reporting to the Compliance Officer – USAID ACE 5 Project. The successful candidate will provide support in conducting audits of grant financial reports, assessment

of internal control systems, verification of assets, and ensuring compliance with contract terms and donor rules and regulations. 

  • S/He will review transactions in ECEWS HQ and field office operations to ensure compliance with policies and procedures in line with relevant financial reporting, procurement, warehousing & inventory, and other regulations. 
  • S/He will conduct investigation or forensic audit, if fraudulent activities are suspected; participate in fixed assets verification exercise, bank cheques and other accountable forms. 
  • The successful candidate will review tax computations and other statutory requirements (e.g. PAYE, Pension, NHF, etc) to ensure compliance as well as conduct audits of cash funds at the head office and field offices.

Minimum Recruitment Standard

  • Must possess a First Degree (BSc / HND) in Accounting or any related field. ACA/ACCA and/or master’s degree is an added advantage.   
  • Must possess minimum four (4) years post NYSC work experience
  • Must possess a broad knowledge of accounting software packages like SAGE.
  • Must possess excellent planning and organisational skills.
  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Must possess a high level of integrity and responsibility.
