The above mentioned organization has vacancies in the following offices which are required to be filled immediately: Project Manager, WaSH Coordinator, WaSH Officer, Finance Officer, Human Resource Officer, Procurement and Logistics Officer and community Hygiene Promoters (CHPs) who are to work with the organization for the period of one year.

With thematic areas across WaSH, Nutrition/Health, General protection, Education, Food security, Early recovery and Livelihood. Our head office located at Suite 022 Atiku Mall, Numan Road, Opposite Immigration Office, Yola Adamawa State.

JOB SUMMARY

The procurement and logistics officer will provide all the support for procurement and delivery with adherence to SRF procurement policies. He also makes the purchase for the organization and ensure that SRF benefits from the products and services needed to efficiently carry out their tasks. He stays up to date with the latest market trends and collaborates with vendors to negotiate prices and contracts. Along with the price, quality is also an essential factor that procurement officer must consider while purchasing or approving a purchase for the organization.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Procurement officer is responsible for evaluating vendors, products and services, and contract negotiation.
  •  Ensuring that approved purchases are cost-efficient and of high quality.
  • Developing strategies for ordering supplies and equipment for SRF from registered vendors.
  • The procurement officer oversees purchasing activities and ensure that purchased items are both cost-efficient and of high quality.
  • Conducting research and making contracts with vendors.
  •  Managing inventory to ensure that SRF remains in good relationship with vendors.
  • Overseeing the purchasing of all goods and services for the organization.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • University Degree in Business administration or equivalent field experience.
  • Professional experience of 2 years minimum in the field of procurement, purchasing and supplying of goods and services in humanitarian context.
  • High negotiation skills and good human relation practice.
  • Ability to communicate and convince vendors, alongside boldness.
  • Perfect knowledge of oral and written English.
  • Good computer knowledge and skills.
  • Experience with working with subcontractors.
    Direct experiences in the geographical area of intervention of save the children.
  • 2 years in the field of WASH infrastructure construction in humanitarian or development context.
