The above mentioned organization has vacancies in the following offices which are required to be filled immediately: Project Manager, WaSH Coordinator, WaSH Officer, Finance Officer, Human Resource Officer, Procurement and Logistics Officer and community Hygiene Promoters (CHPs) who are to work with the organization for the period of one year.

With thematic areas across WaSH, Nutrition/Health, General protection, Education, Food security, Early recovery and Livelihood. Our head office located at Suite 022 Atiku Mall, Numan Road, Opposite Immigration Office, Yola Adamawa State.

Job Title: Finance Officer

JOB SUMMARY

Sarasun Foundation(SRF) is looking for a reliable Financial Officer that will analyze everyday financial activities and subsequently provide advice and guidance to the management team on future financial plans.

The goal is to enable the company’s leaders to make sound business decisions and meet the company’s objectives.

In this role, he/she will have the opportunity to utilize your expertise in financial analysis and strategic planning. By analyzing day-to-day financial activities with precision, you will provide valuable insights and recommendations to upper management.

Your guidance will empower the company’s leaders to make informed decisions that align with the organization’s long-term goals.

Additionally, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing financial plans that support the company’s growth and profitability.

Monitoring financial performance, identifying areas for improvement, and capitalizing on opportunities will be integral parts of your responsibilities.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Provide financial reports and interpret financial information to managerial staff while recommending further courses of action.
  • Advise on investment activities and provide strategies that the company should take.
  • Maintain the financial health of the organization.
  • Analyze costs, pricing, variable contributions, sales results, and the company’s actual performance compared to the business plans.
  • Develop trends and projections for the firm’s finances.
  • Conduct reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities.
  • Oversee operations of the finance department, set goals and objectives, and design a framework for these to be met.
  • Manage the preparation of the company’s budget.
  • Liase with auditors to ensure appropriate monitoring of company finances is maintained.
  • Correspond with various other departments, discussing company plans and agreeing on future paths to be taken.
  • Respond to additional responsibilities as assigned by the Managing Director.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience as a Financial Manager
  • Experience in the financial sector with previous possible roles such as financial analyst
  • Extensive understanding of financial trends both within the company and general market patterns
  • Proficient user of finance software
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
  • Able to manage, guide and lead employees to ensure appropriate financial processes are being used.
  • A solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles
  • Working knowledge of all statutory legislation and regulations
  • BS/MA degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics
  • Professional qualification such as CFA/CPA or similar will be considered a plus.
