Job Description
- The Roller Compactor Operator is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining the roller compaction equipment used in dry granulation processes within the pharmaceutical manufacturing plant.
- The role ensures consistent product quality, adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Operate roller compaction machines for dry granulation in accordance with approved Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Set up, adjust, and monitor machine parameters such as roller pressure, gap, and speed to achieve required granule quality.
- Perform in-process checks to ensure product quality meets specifications.
- Accurately document batch manufacturing records (BMR) and logbooks.
- Clean and sanitize the roller compactor and surrounding area according to cleaning SOPs.
- Identify and report equipment malfunctions, deviations, or abnormalities to the Production Supervisor.
- Assist in minor troubleshooting and routine maintenance activities.
- Ensure strict compliance with GMP, safety, and company quality policies at all times.
- Work collaboratively with Quality Control, Engineering, and other production staff to meet production targets.
- Participate in audits, inspections, and continuous improvement initiatives.
