Bridge for Women Development Initiative (BOWDI) is a women-led, registered Non-Governmental, Non-Profit Organization with its head office located in Borno State, Nigeria. BOWDI has been active in Humanitarian and Development activities in the Northeast, especially in education, peace-building, advocacy, food security, livelihood, and protection.
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented HR & Admin Intern to join our team and support our operations.
Position Title: HR & Admin Intern
Location: Maiduguri, Borno State
Duration: 6 Months (October 2025-March 2026)
Reports to: HR & Admin Officer
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with recruitment processes including posting job adverts, screening applications, and scheduling interviews.
- Support in maintaining HR files, records, and databases.
- Assist with onboarding and orientation of new staff, interns, and volunteers.
- Provide administrative support such as filing, photocopying, preparing correspondence, and organizing documents.
- Help in coordinating staff attendance, leave management, and timesheets.
- Support in organizing meetings, workshops, and trainings.
- Perform other HR and administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Public Administration, Social Sciences, or a related field (recent graduates encouraged to apply).
- Must have completed NYSC
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
