Job Summary:
- FAAF is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Grant Writer to identify funding opportunities, develop compelling proposals, and ensure timely submission of high-quality applications. The ideal candidate will be a strong storyteller with excellent research and writing skills, capable of translating FAAF’s vision into persuasive funding requests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research and identify relevant grant opportunities from foundations, corporations, and institutions.
- Develop well-structured proposals, concept notes, and budgets that align with donor requirements.
- Collaborate with program teams to gather accurate and up-to-date information for applications.
- Maintain a grants calendar and track application deadlines.
- Review and edit all proposals for clarity, accuracy, and consistency.
- Assist with donor reporting and communication as needed.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, International Development, or a related field.
- Proven track record in grant writing, with at least 2 years’ relevant experience.
- Strong research, writing, and editing skills.
- Familiarity with non-profit funding landscapes and donor expectations.
- Ability to work independently under tight deadlines.
