We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Front Desk Receptionist / Audiology Assistant

Location: Fadeyi, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Reports to: Audiologist

Overview of Role

  • We are looking for a Receptionist cum Audiology Assistant to join our team and support our work in the Hearing Aid Program. The role is based in Nigeria.

Responsibilities
Front Desk and Administration:

  • Manage activities at the front desk of the Audiology Centre – Attend visitors, answer phone calls, schedule meetings and appointments, coordinate mail flow, respond to emails, and perform office administration-related duties
  • Process payments from patients and clients for hearing aids
  • Maintain proper filing of the documents, both hard and soft copies
  • Perform regular patient follow-up and reporting
  • Adhere to local policies and regulations in the execution of the program.

Stock/Inventory Management:

  • Manage inventory and activities of ordering, receiving, storing, and issuing stock for the Audiology Centre
  • Do daily data entry using software used by the company
  • Raise purchase orders for audiology-related materials
  • Perform quality checks on stored items
  • Do daily and weekly equipment checks and calibrations.

Learning and development:

  • Learn the data entry software used by the company
  • Seek out training courses for professional and technical development
  • Stay abreast with learning opportunities in Nigeria and gain knowledge to improve continuously.

Audiology Assistance

  • Assist the audiologist during the testing, assessment and rehabilitation phases of patients suffering from hearing loss
  • Assist the audiologist in capturing feedback from the patients for impact reporting.

Academic / Work Experience

  • Graduate of Accounting, Management, Social Sciences, or numerate disciplines
  • Previous work experience in a hospital or clinic in the audiology department
  • Female candidate preferred for gender balance
  • Minimum 3 years of work experience as an administrative person and 1 – 2 years of work experience as a sign language expert.

Skills:

  • Excellent reading, writing and verbal communication skills
  • Good time management skills
  • Good command of IT, including MS Office, G Suite (preferable), social media
  • Trained as a sign language expert, hearing-impaired educator and/or an interpreter.
