Zenith Of the Girl Child and Women Initiative Support is a leading girls and women’s rights organization that promotes gender equality, reaching the most vulnerable, and promoting meaningful inclusion. The organization is a registered non-profit, non-governmental female/youth-led organization that aims to prevent and protect women and girls against all forms of gender-based violence, abuse, and discrimination. Zenith of the Girl Child and Women Initiative Support advocates and influence policies in favor of women and girls. ZEGCAWIS create awareness and sensitize communities on the Sexual and reproductive Health rights, prevention of sexual and all forms of gender-based violence information and response services. ZEGCAWIS has been in existence since 2016, it became officially registered with cooperate affairs commission in Nigeria 2018. Working together with Relevant stake holders, women, young people, supporters and partners, we strive for a just world, where women and girls as well children’s Right will be protected and supported, a world where everyone will have equal access to opportunities, economic empowerment and be treated with respect and dignity irrespective of their sex, gender, Race and religion differences.

FINANCE AND ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER
Reports to: Executive Director
Location: Maiduguri
Duration of assignment: 6 months (with a possibility of renewal based on performance).
Scope of Work
ZEGCAWIS is seeking an efficient Finance and Administration Officer who will responsible for providing administrative support, as well as accounting services, for ensuring internal sound control, financial reporting, training, and providing advice and support to relevant stakeholders within a comprehensive financial management structure. In addition to the accounting services, the post holder will provide general support and advice on all programme related financial issues from the budgeting to the final evaluation of the office and provide efficient financial management.
Responsibilities
· Administer and coordinate all financial systems and processes of the ZEGCAWIS including General ledgers, internal accounts, accounts payable and accounts receivable, payroll (including all stipends), statutory remittances, insurance, budget monitoring, and other financial systems and processes as required.
· Monitor and record all cash disbursements, expenditures and receipts of the ZEGCAWIS, ensuring timely, effective and accurate record keeping.
· Ensure appropriate policies procedures, and processes with respect to financial
· Transactions (including but not limited to cheque requisitions and related authorization, budgetary expenditures, pay and benefits) are followed.
· Maintain and oversee the ZEGCAWIS’s banking systems (including but not limited to accounts, statements, records, and institutional arrangements).
· Ensure all ZEGCAWIS Logistic departments are providing timely, accurate, and appropriate financial Reporting and remittances, including invoices, cash reports, and all other relevant financial Information and records.
· Ensure timely and accurate adherence to all statutory, regulatory, and policy regimes with Respect to financial and related matters.
· Perform month-end and year-end procedures including, but not limited to preparing all month-end reconciliations and year-end working papers for annual audit.
· Undertake preparation and coordination, under direction of the Executive Director
· Coordinate and assist external auditors during their audit fieldwork. Ensure that all audited financial statement deadlines are met per ZEGCAWIS reporting requirements.
· Maintain the filing and record keeping systems of the Finance Office and ZEGCAWIS as whole as required, and administer the operations of the Finance Office (databases, administrative systems. Supplies and equipment)
· Maintain the confidentiality of the ZEGCAWIS’s financial business and other private information and records

Education
BSc Finance, Accounting, Administration or related degree.
