1. Position Summary
The Executive Director (ED) of Hope 360 Initiative for Peace (HOPE360) serves as the chief executive leader responsible for driving the organization’s humanitarian, development, and peacebuilding mission across Northeast Nigeria. The ED provides strategic leadership, ensures quality program delivery, oversees financial stewardship, builds strategic partnerships, and represents HOPE360 at national and international levels.
2. Key Responsibilities
A. Strategic Leadership & Organizational Governance
– Lead the development, review, and implementation of HOPE360’s strategic plan.
– Provide leadership updates to the Board of Trustees.
– Ensure adherence to HOPE360 values, humanitarian principles, and safeguarding standards.
– Strengthen internal systems and accountability frameworks.
B. Program Leadership & Quality Assurance
– Oversee planning, implementation, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting of HOPE360 programs.
– Ensure all program activities meet sector standards and donor requirements.
– Support proposal and concept note development.
C. Financial Management & Compliance
– Lead budgeting and ensure financial transparency.
– Ensure compliance with donor regulations and audit requirements.
– Provide financial reports and manage financial risks.
D. Resource Mobilization & Partnership Development
– Lead fundraising strategy and donor engagement.
– Build partnerships with government, INGOs, UN agencies, and private sector actors.
– Represent HOPE360 in national and international forums.
E. Human Resources, Staff Development & Organizational Culture
– Supervise and mentor senior staff.
– Lead recruitment and performance management.
– Promote a culture of accountability, gender equality, and learning.
F. Safeguarding, Protection & Risk Management
– Strengthen safeguarding, PSEA, and child protection frameworks.
– Oversee safety, security, and risk management procedures.
– Ensure ethical leadership and zero tolerance for misconduct.
G. Communication, Advocacy & Representation
– Serve as HOPE360’s spokesperson.
– Manage communication strategies, media engagement, and public messaging.
– Advocate for the rights of conflict-affected populations.
3. Required Qualifications
Education:
– Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Public Administration, Peace & Conflict Studies, or related field.
– Master’s degree preferred.
Experience:
– Minimum 7–10 years senior leadership experience in humanitarian or development NGOs.
– Strong experience in resource mobilization and donor-funded projects.
– Experience working in Northeast Nigeria is an advantage.
Skills & Competencies:
