Role Summary
The Volunteer Executive Director will oversee the organization’s strategic direction, fundraising efforts, program implementation, and partnerships. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about social impact, leadership, and community development.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide overall leadership and direction in line with the NGO’s mission and long-term goals.
- Lead strategic planning and oversee implementation of organizational priorities.
- Strengthen governance structures and support the Board of Directors.
- Support the design, implementation, and monitoring of programs.
- Work closely with program officers and volunteers to ensure quality and impact.
- Ensure compliance with donor requirements and organizational policies.
- Identify and pursue funding opportunities (grants, partnerships, CSR, individual donors).
- Oversee the development of proposals, concept notes, and donor reports.
- Build partnerships with NGOs, government agencies, youth groups, and international organizations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Public Health, Social Sciences, Development Studies,
Management, or related field (Master’s advantage).
- Prior experience in leadership, program management, NGO coordination, or social impact work.
- Strong writing, communication, and people-management skills.
- Experience in fundraising, proposal writing, or partnership building is a strong advantage.
- Passion for youth development, gender equality, and community empowerment.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct regular research to identify funding opportunities from local and international donors.
- Prepare and write compelling grant proposals, concept notes, project narratives, and letters of inquiry.
- Support the development of project budgets in collaboration with finance and program staff.
- Maintain an updated grants tracking sheet with deadlines, submission statuses, and donor requirements.
- Assist with donor reporting, ensuring compliance and timely submission.
- Review and edit organizational documents intended for fundraising purposes.
- Participate in team meetings and planning sessions as required.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
- Strong writing, editing, and research skills.
- Previous experience in grant writing or proposal development is an added advantage (but not mandatory).
- Ability to interpret donor requirements and align them with organizational goals.
- Good understanding of development, youth empowerment, public health, or social justice work (preferred).
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Passion for nonprofit work and community development.

We are looking for a passionate and organized Volunteer Program Officer to support program planning, implementation, monitoring, and reporting. The role involves coordinating activities, engaging stakeholders, supporting monitoring and evaluation, and representing the organization in community settings. Ideal for individuals passionate about social impact, public health, youth development, and community empowerment.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate program logistics, field activities, trainings, workshops, and community engagements.
- Support mobilization of beneficiaries, volunteers, and partners.
- Ensure program activities are implemented according to workplans and timelines
- Engage community members, youth groups, schools, and local partners.
- Represent the organization at meetings, outreach events, and advocacy campaigns.
- Assist in preparing project documents, presentations, and communication materials.
- Maintain program files, attendance sheets, and activity records.
Qualifications
- Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences, Public Health, Education, Development Studies, or related fields (preferred).
- Experience in community outreach, project support, or youth programs is an advantage.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Passion for youth development, gender equality, public health, or social justice.
- Basic knowledge of monitoring and evaluation (M&E) is an added advantage.
