Education Officer, NO-2 at UNICEF

You as the Education Officer will provide professional technical, operational, and administrative assistance throughout the programming process for education programmes/projects within the Country Programme, from development planning to delivery of results, preparing, executing, managing, and implementing a variety of technical and administrative programme tasks to facilitate programme development, implementation, programme progress monitoring, evaluation, and reporting.

Minimum requirements

  • Education: Bachelor or equivalent (First Level University Degree) in Education, Psychology, Sociology and any other related fields.
  • Work Experience: At least 2 years of relevant work experience in Research, Program planning, Management, Research in Education. and any other related fields.
  • Skills: Analytical, Negotiation, Resource Management, Team Supervision, Strategic Thinking, and Risk Management skills are required.
  • Language Requirements: Fluency in English is required 

Desirables

  • Language: Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish) or a local language
  • Project monitoring, Site Supervision, Quality Assurance, Construction Technology, Experience in a Multicultural Environment, Teaching Certificate, and two years’ experience as a teacher are assets.
  • Relevant experience at country level, particularly in development, fragile settings and humanitarian contexts.
