Achieving Health Nigeria Initiative (AHNi) is a non-profit organization that promotes socio-economic development by supporting global health and economic initiatives in Nigeria. AHNi currently has its headquarters in Abuja, Nigeria.

To strengthen our operations and interventions in the country, we are seeking qualified candidates for the position below:

Job Title: Contracts & Grant Officer

Job Description

  • The Contracts & Officer will be engaged for 2 months and will provide lead administration for the management of awards and sub-awards to include contracts, grants, and cooperative agreements, monitor workflows, and help develop and implement systems to provide sound management control over AHNi’s compliance with award terms and conditions and any policies.
  • S/He will be responsible for the review of sub-agreement and subcontracting implementation activities and contractual arrangements to ensure they meet with donor and organizational regulations, review monthly Sub-Recipients Financial Reports and Advance Request of Implementing Agents.

Minimum Recruitment Standards

  • BSc / B.A Degree in Accounting, Finance, and Business Administration or its recognized equivalent, and 5 – 7 years of relevant experience with donor contracts, cooperative agreements, and grant regulations.
  • Master’s Degree in Finance and Business Administration or its recognized equivalent, and 3 – 5 years of relevant experience with donor contracts, cooperative agreements, and grant regulations.
  • The ability to interpret funding contracts and grants regulations and develop implementing procedures is a must.
  • Demonstrated success in multicultural environments is an advantage.

Minimum Recruitment Standards

  • Minimum of BMLS or AMLSCN in Medical Laboratory Science with at least 4 years of working experience in a PCR laboratory.
  • Or MSc in applied biosciences with 5-7 years of working experience in a PCR laboratory.
  • Certification or license to practice medical laboratory science is an advantage.
