Life All Round Human Development Initiative (LAROHD Initiative) is a Non-governmental Organization which was founded in 2018 and was formerly known as Life Impact 360 Foundation. It was registered in 2021 with the Nigerian Corporate Affairs Commission and has obtain the mandate to operate in Nigeria. What inspired the creation of the organization was the rising unemployment and the accompanying social and public health crisis caused by the intractable insurgency in Northern Nigeria. We are currently operating in North-east Nigeria to help vulnerable population and distressed people regain their ability to survive and thrive. Since inception, LAROHD Initiative has implemented sustainable projects and interventions in nutrition, WASH, Gender Based Violence (GBV), Livelihood support intervention, and education. Some of our methods of operation include Emergency response, Community-Based Management of Acute Malnutrition (CMAM), Community engagement and sensitization, Food items and Non-Food items distribution, Entrepreneurial training on income generating activities, Community and School based GBV mainstreaming.

Job Title: Community Case Worker (Volunteer)

Job Summary
The Community Case Worker (CCW) will support the Project Manager and GBV Officer to develop quality and timely assistance for the most vulnerable cases; it involves assessing beneficiaries’ identification, supervision of volunteers, and case management.
Main Responsibilities
The GBV Case Worker will be responsible to provide the day-to- day Management of all GBV cases and including the identification, documentation, developing case plans and follow up.
GBV Case Worker will liaise directly with other service providers working within the LGA and communities where the project is implemented and facilitate referrals to other service providers (health including Mental health, Shelter, NFIs and /or legal providers, etc.)
Ensures that Survivor Centred Approach Guiding principles maintained and en-forced in while working with survivors including in safe spaces for women and girls.
Facilitate the setting up of information desk at the women and girls’ safe space where adolescent and women of reproductive age can access Sexual Reproductive Health information.
Contribute within the women and girls center to the identification of at-risk girls, boys and women and ensure proper documentation
Support GBV at risk individuals or survivors by referring them when necessary
and in respect of their consent to other service providers (Health, legal counselling, shelter, livelihoods, or mental health etc.)
Provide direct support and care for vulnerable women and girls (including survi-vors of gender-based violence) including basic information counselling and case management.
Provide direct age-appropriate support and care to vulnerable adolescent and young women (including survivors of GBV) that includes counselling and case man-agement for under 18 years’ survivors in line with case management: Best Interest Determination (BID), age-appropriate engagement and decision making by survi-vor
Ensure Do No Harm analysis are carried out and the principle of Do No Harm is
observed and upheld in all the engagements of the Case Worker Position Requirements
BA / B.Sc / HND Qualification
Good knowledge and practice of Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.,
Understanding rights and protection issues of children and women is an advantage, Ability to multitask and cope with competing demands under tight deadlines,
Ability to cope with high workload and stress and identify priority activities and
Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships in a multi-ethnic, multi-cultural and multi-disciplinary environment,
Flexible and responsive.
Languages:
Fluency in English (oral and written) required, working knowledge of the Hausa.
