Future Resilience and Development Foundation (FRAD) is a registered non-profit organization with the
corporate affairs commission in accordance with the Nigerian Law. FRAD over the years having been
responding to the more than decade long conflict in Northeast Nigeria with operational presence in
Various LGAs across the states. FRAD envision a sustainable future where everyone can access
development a world no one is left behind, and work with a mission to build the resilience of vulnerable
population using locally available solutions that ensures participation and bring meaningful
development leaving no one behind. These mission and vision guide our responses and intervention in
thematic areas of Nutrition, protection, Education, early recovery and livelihood and food security.
Position: GBV PSS Facilitators
Job Type: Contract
Qualification: ND or its equivalent, vocational skills is an additional advantage,
Experience: 2-5 Years
Location: Borno with frequent visits to the field (Magumeri and Damboa) One per location.
Functions / Day to day activities:
Provide PSS services for GBV survivors (counseling, PFA, PSS, Referral for MHPSS)
Supervise PSS activities at the Safe space (Empowerment activities skills acquisition,
recreation)
Oversee the activities of the safe spaces.
Disseminate information on the following key themes: GBV, types of GBV, consequences of
GBV, services available, non-stigmatization and guiding principles of GBV prevention,
mitigation, and response.
Identify and confidential refer survivors of GBV to the Safe Space for Case Management
services. This will be done in close collaboration and consultation with and/or by the case
management officers.
Assist in the implementation of GBV related activities at the Safe Space on a rotational.
Promote program intervention within community, especially integrating community
leaders and decision makers.
Liaise closely with local actors and other local stakeholders to raise the awareness,
sensitize and engage them at grass root level.
Ensure the use of good facilitation skills that make the Survivors feel comfortable and
enhance their participation and personal development.
Ensure that survivors in the safe spaces are not exposed to any form of harm or stress
during the activity and that they feel safe and respected.
Experience and technical competencies
2-5 years of experience as a
Community Volunteer and facilitator.
Candidate must be above the age of 18
years
Candidate must be an indigene and
based in Damboa and Magumeri.
Candidate must have the ability to read
and write in English.

speak and translate one of the
indigenous language (kanuri, shuwa,
Hausa, Marghi etc.) to Hausa or English
