Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and maintain all interoperable digital solutions supporting the project, ensuring reliable and cohesive functionality across Workstreams 1–3.
- Lead day-to-day Digital Health operations, including system configuration, user management, troubleshooting, uptime monitoring, and technical support for state implementation teams in Gombe, Kaduna, and Kano.
- Work closely with the Systems Integration Specialist and Biometric Systems Specialist to ensure seamless interoperability between biometric attendance systems, HRHMIS, facility functionality tools, integrated registries, and service delivery platforms.
- Review, refine, and optimize digital workflows to improve system performance, data capture processes, and internal tools that support efficient implementation and monitoring.
- Support development and review of technical specifications for software enhancements, dashboards, APIs, and system integrations, ensuring alignment with national and global standards.
- Conduct routine system health checks and audits, proactively identifying technical risks and implementing corrective actions to maintain system stability, performance, and data quality.
- Provide technical orientation, mentoring, and coaching to state-based IT focal persons and project staff, strengthening local capacity to operate, manage, and sustain digital systems.
- Liaise with software vendors, developers, and internal technical teams to coordinate bug fixes, system upgrades, and deployment of new features in line with project priorities.
- Ensure all digital tools and platforms comply with data security, privacy, and the Nigeria Data Protection Act requirements, working closely with the Cybersecurity Officer and Data Protection Officer.
- Document system configurations, technical processes, manuals, and SOPs to support continuity, onboarding, troubleshooting, and eventual transition to government ownership.
- Carry out other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
Education and Experience Requirements
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Health Informatics, Digital Health, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years’ experience managing and supporting digital systems within health, public-sector, or donor-funded programs.
- Hands-on experience with system administration, troubleshooting, and user support in multi-state or decentralized environments.
