M AND E Officer At African Humanitarian Aid International

We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Locations: Maiduguri – Borno
Employment Type: Full-time

Reports to:  M and E Manager/Coordinator

General Objective

AHAI is a non-Governmental, Non-Profit, Making Organization. non-political and non-religious international aid organization. African Humanitarian Aid International (AHAI) has been operating in Nigeria since 2017, with operational offices in Adamawa and Borno, including sub-offices in the field ¹.

HAI seeks a results-driven M&E Officer to design, implement, and manage M&E systems, track program performance, and report on progress.

Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement M&E plans, frameworks, and tools

– Track and report on program performance, outcomes, and impact

– Conduct data quality checks, analysis, and visualization

– Support program teams with M&E capacity building and technical assistance

– Identify and address M&E challenges and opportunities

– Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure data-driven decision-making

– Prepare M&E reports, dashboards, and presentations

– Develop and implement M&E plans, frameworks, and tools

– Track and report on program performance, outcomes, and impact

– Conduct data quality checks, analysis, and visualization

– Support program teams with M&E capacity building and technical assistance

– Identify and address M&E challenges and opportunities

– Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure data-driven decision-making

– Prepare M&E reports, dashboards, and presentations

– Conduct field visits to monitor program activities and provide feedback

– Support the development of proposals and funding applications

– Maintain and manage M&E databases and systems

– Identify and document best practices and lessons learned

– Contribute to the development of M&E policies and procedures

– Work closely with program teams to ensure M&E is integrated into program design and implementation

Requirements- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field (e.g., Development Studies, Statistics, Economics)

– 2-4 years of M&E experience

– Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

– Proficiency in M&E tools and software (e.g., Kobo, ODK, Excel)

Desired Skills- Master’s degree or certification in M&E or related field

– Experience in humanitarian or development sector

– Familiarity with donor reporting requirements
