RESPONSIBILITIES
As the WoodWork Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Developing woodworking projects, including prototypes and furniture.
- Reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
- Operating and maintaining woodworking tools and machinery.
- Ensuring all projects meet the highest standards of craftsmanship and quality.
- Implementing and adhering to safety procedures and best practices.
- Managing inventory, tools, and materials.
- Collaborating with clients, suppliers, and team members to ensure project success.
- Troubleshooting and correcting any mistakes during the production process.
- Keeping the workshop clean, organized, and safe.
SKILLS, COMPETENCIES & REQUIREMENTS
- Proven experience in woodworking, including prototyping and furniture making.
- Proficiency with woodworking tools and machinery (saws, sanders, lathes, etc.).
- Strong attention to detail and precision in craftsmanship.
- Creative problem-solving abilities and innovative thinking.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills.
- Good communication skills for effective collaboration.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and ability to maintain a safe work environment.
- Physical stamina to handle the demands of woodworking.
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS, AND EXPERIENCE
- Formal education in woodworking, wood engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Relevant certifications in woodworking or carpentry from recognized institutions are a plus.
