NIMEPA is at the forefront of setting the pace for the development and enhancement of environmental awareness and consciousness of the dangers to humanity from environmental and marine pollution in Nigeria whether ship-generated or not, and of the necessity for the Enforcement and compliance of international conventions, laws and Regulations and other legal instruments by all concerned, aiming always at the protection of the environment in general and of the Marine environment in particular.
