Volunteer Business Development Officer at Women Reform Organization

Women Reform Organization is a Pan-African, Humanitarian Organization with the social corporate responsibility of creating awareness, enlightenment, and regenerating the giant strides inherent in African Women, through campaigns, empowerment programmes, and advocacy for qualitative education, vocational training & mentorship. We are also interested in creating a platform of business opportunities for Female Entrepreneurs, with the sole objective of sharpening their entrepreneurship skills aimed at eradicating the penury lifestyle among African Women.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Volunteer Business Development Officer

Location: Lagos

Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue funding, sponsorship, and partnership opportunities.
  • Conduct research on donors, grant opportunities, and CSR programs aligned with WRO’s mission.
  • Prepare compelling proposals, presentations, and concept notes to attract strategic partners.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to design fundraising strategies and campaigns.
  • Support the development of business plans, partnership decks, and donor engagement materials.
  • Maintain accurate records of business development efforts, follow-ups, and partnerships.
  • Represent WRO at virtual meetings, webinars, and other networking opportunities.

Requirements

  • A Degree or background in Business Development, Communications, Marketing, Social Sciences, or related fields is an added advantage.
  • Prior experience in fundraising, donor relations, or partnership development (voluntary or paid) is a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent research and analytical abilities.
  • Ability to write persuasive proposals and professional documents.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and goal-oriented.
  • Passion for women’s development, social impact, and nonprofit work.
