The International Committee of the Red Cross – ICRC- (www.icrc.org) is an independent humanitarian organisation, neutral and impartial organization. Jos Sub Delegation and Makurdi Antenna is looking for a suitable candidate to fill the vacancy below
Under the supervision of the Premises Maintenance Officer, the technical helper provides cleaning/housekeeping at the ICRC premises. S/He also provides basic technical support in ensuring all electrical, plumbing and carpentry issues are attended to in the Makurdi antenna.
Main duties and responsibilities
- Ensures that there are no electrical, plumbing and carpentry issues in the Makurdi antenna.
- Ensures that the antenna is always clean.
- Purchases of cleaning supplies and sending invoices to the sub delegation.
- Ensures proper stocks of office supplies.
- Informs his/her supervisor of any needs, malfunctions or problems.
- Carries out other manual tasks as required
Education and Experience Required
- 2-years work experience in a similar function
- Basic knowledge of English
- Ability to be able to work without too much supervision
- Ability to write simple reports
