The TB Surge Response is a short-term initiative aimed at rapidly increasing TB case notification in a number of targeted states. This is a rapid response meant to demonstrate that channeling requisite resources (human and material) in targeted areas will lead to significant increases in TB case notification as a proof-of-concept. This will help to shape the future of funding for TB programs in Nigeria.

Main responsibilities
These responsibilities shall be adapted to the particularities of the job location and context, phase of operation, strategic focus and type of program intervention. This section shall be revised whenever a new employee is hired or the context changes significantly.
- Coordinate all TB Surge activities in the cluster to ensure finding of TB cases and appropriate linkage to treatment in the Cluster
- Ensure active screening for TB by spokes (Primary and secondary health facilities)
- Facilitate the identification and complete evaluation (by Gene Xpert and CXR) of all identified presumptive TB in the spoke’s facilities in the cluster.
- Maintain and manage close communication and coordination between facility screening staff, TB-DOTS, Hub sites, TBLS and SPO.
- Ensure appropriate documentation of all TB services in appropriate registers at the both the Hub and spokes in the cluster.
- Ensure electronic entry of data into the project app.
- Organize and coordinate monthly meetings at Hub site (when SPO is unavailable) and ensure appropriate feedback on services and referral challenges.
- Coordinate, collate and transmit weekly TB cascade report from spoke sites
- Provide oversight and act as data cascade manager for Hub site TB cascade reporting on CommCare and facility registers.
- Support sample transport based on approved rate from the spokes to diagnostic labs and follow up with result retrieval (payment is based in trips made)
- Perform any other duty assigned by the SPO
Your profile (Eligibility Requirement)
- A Minimum of Bachelor Degree or its equivalent.
- Minimum of two (2) years of work experience
- Candidates must be a Computer literate
- Medical qualification is an added advantage
- Possess a Positive attitude (demonstrate integrity, confidentiality, approachability and diplomacy).
- Ability to withstand work-related pressure, accurately follow instructions
- Ability to express oneself through good communication skills: verbal and written.
- Fluency in English Language is a must
- Fluence in local dialects is an added advantage
