We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Strategic Information Specialist
Location: Kano
Reports to: State Program Manager with technical oversight from the Strategic Information Director/Advisor
Job purpose
- Lead state-level performance measurement, data quality, analysis, reporting and evidence readiness for program and milestone management.
Key Responsibilities
- Operationalize the performance-monitoring plan, indicator reference sheets and reporting calendar.
- Coordinate data collection, validation, reconciliation and submission across sites and partners.
- Conduct routine data-quality assessments and track corrective actions.
- Produce state, LGA, facility and partner analyses for program improvement.
- Maintain milestone denominators, numerators, source references and audit-ready evidence.
- Support government information systems and data-use forums.
- Supervise and mentor SI Officers and data personnel.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Epidemiology, Public Health, Demography, Information Systems or related field; master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of M&E/SI experience in complex health programs, including data quality, analysis and reporting.
Core competencies:
- Advanced Excel/data-analysis capability, strong knowledge of routine health information systems, data visualization, documentation, coaching and attention to detail.
